Volunteers Make A Difference!
Want to give back? Opportunities to volunteer with the St. Charles Parks & Recreation Department are almost unlimited. Help out a one-day special event or assist on an ongoing basis. Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals, neighbors, families, students, organized groups, co-workers…everyone!
SPRING VOLUNTEER DAY
The department is seeking volunteers for a park clean-up day. Projects can include brush removal, litter removal, aquatic facility clean-up and more. Volunteer by yourself, with your family, a group or an organization and take pride in helping to keep Wapelhorst Park beautiful! Lunch will be provided after the event.

Register by April 15 to allow staff to prepare projects according to group size. Bring water, work gloves and wear clothes and shoes suitable for outdoor work. Volunteers will receive an email with more information prior to the event. Registration required. Click here to register.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
Park Clean Up – Community Service Project:
Help keep your community clean by volunteering for a park cleanup. Or assist the Parks & Recreation Department with a community service project (Painting shelters, playground mulch spreading etc.)
Court Mandated Community Service:
We may be able to assist you in completing your court mandated hours. Typically we allow park cleanups. Please complete the application at the link below to see if you are a suitable candidate to work in the parks.
